FX has renewed American Horror Story for a 14th season, extending Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s long-running anthology. The announcement arrived about a week before the Season 13 finale. The renewal follows what was reported as the franchise’s biggest streaming premiere ever on Hulu and Disney+. Season 13 brought back several franchise veterans, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett.

No theme, cast or premiere timing for Season 14 was announced with the renewal. The early order reflects FX’s continuing investment in one of its signature franchises. The series has been a cornerstone of the network’s scripted lineup since its 2011 debut.
