HBO has announced five additional cast members for its upcoming Harry Potter television adaptation, introducing several recognizable characters from Hogwarts.

Leo Bill will portray Nearly Headless Nick, while Andrew Brooke joins as the Bloody Baron and Daniel Fearn plays the Fat Friar.

Laura Smyth has been cast as the Fat Lady, the portrait guarding Gryffindor Tower, while David Threlfall will provide the voice of the Sorting Hat.

The new performers join Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

John Lithgow is also attached to portray Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore.

The series is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes and serving as an executive producer.

HBO's adaptation aims to explore the original novels through a longer television format with an expanded ensemble.
