‘Elf on the Shelf’ Creators Bring Preschool Series ‘Scout Elf Squad’ to Netflix

The Lumistella Company, creator of The Elf on the Shelf, is bringing its children’s series Scout Elf Squad to Netflix on November 4. All episodes will also remain available on the Elf on the Shelf YouTube channel. The preschool series expands the company’s holiday storytelling universe for young audiences. The licensing agreement marks the franchise’s first series arrangement with Netflix.

The Elf on the Shelf began as a holiday book and became a widely recognized seasonal tradition for many families. The deal gives Netflix additional holiday family programming ahead of the Christmas viewing season. It also extends an established consumer property further into streaming entertainment.
