Chicago is hosting the Greenlight Chicago & Illinois industry familiarization tour from October 13–16, 2026, according to the city’s October 9 announcement and Axios’s October 14 reporting. The four-day program brings studio representatives to inspect locations and production resources. Announced participants include Amazon, Disney, Paramount Skydance, NBCUniversal, Netflix and 101 Studios.

The initiative showcases local crews, infrastructure and Illinois production incentives. Axios reported a 35% base credit, with additional incentives for qualifying local hiring and environmentally friendly productions. Eligibility depends on the program’s rules; the visit does not represent a commitment by participating companies to shoot new projects in Chicago.
