Christopher Nolan’s 2006 thriller The Prestige will return to theaters on January 29, 2027, to mark its 20th anniversary. Disney is handling the rerelease, which will present the film in IMAX and 70mm for the first time. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as rival magicians locked in an escalating competition in Victorian London. Since its original release, Nolan has become one of the most prominent champions of large-format filmmaking.

His later films, including Oppenheimer, helped drive broad audience demand for IMAX and 70mm screenings. The anniversary engagement gives audiences a chance to revisit one of the director’s earliest studio features on premium screens. Specific participating theaters have not yet been detailed.
