Black Bear's fantasy romance Wicker, starring Olivia Colman and Peter Dinklage, has expanded its 4DX theatrical engagement following strong audience demand. The film initially received a limited, one day presentation in the immersive format before sold out screenings prompted additional showtimes at participating 4DX locations. Directors Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson collaborated with 4DX specialists to develop motion and sensory effects tailored to the film. The story follows an isolated fisherwoman who asks a basket weaver to create a husband for her from willow. Social media interest helped transform the unconventional screening concept into a wider theatrical opportunity. The expanded engagement is scheduled to continue through November 4, 2026, at participating locations. The film also opened with approximately $5.7 million from 1,471 theaters during its initial domestic weekend. Its success demonstrates how audience enthusiasm and premium theatrical experiences can create new opportunities for independent film releases.
