Samuel L. Jackson’s Tulsa King spinoff was renamed Frisco King in an announcement reported by Variety on February 24, 2026. Previously titled NOLA King, the Paramount+ series shifted its principal setting from New Orleans to Frisco, Texas. Taylor Sheridan was named writer of all eight first-season episodes.

Jackson plays Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character introduced in Tulsa King’s third season with ties to Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce the spinoff, with Sheridan, Stallone and Jackson among its executive producers. The February announcement scheduled production to begin in Fort Worth in late March; it did not establish an October premiere.
