Kelsey Grammer is attached to star in Pops, a medical drama in development at NBC, TVLine confirmed on October 14, 2026. The Universal Television project follows an older man who starts over in emergency medicine alongside first responders half his age. Its premise draws on Maryland resident Ed Levien, who became an EMT in his sixties.

Danny Weiss, whose credits include ten seasons on Chicago Med, will write and executive produce. Grammer will also executive produce alongside Jordan McMahon of Grammnet, Levien and 3 Arts Entertainment. The announcement concerns development, not a series order or a confirmed premiere.
