Fox and Roku shareholders approved proposals supporting Fox’s pending $22 billion acquisition of Roku at special meetings on October 14, 2026, TheWrap reported that day. The result moves the transaction forward but does not complete the acquisition. Fox expects the deal to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals.

The Justice Department requested additional information in September as part of its review. That request extended the statutory waiting period while the companies respond. The proposed combination would bring Roku’s streaming distribution and technology platform into the company that already owns Tubi.
